Iran’s chief lobbyist Hossein Mousavian: We could build a nuclear bomb anytime

Feb 6th, 2015

mousavianHossein Mousavian, former Iranian ambassador to Germany and a suspected terrorist who is currently residing in US and lobbying on behalf of the Iranian regime has admitted that the Iranian regime has the capability to make nuclear bomb. That means Iran has the know-how and practical experience of making a bomb. In an interview with German newspaper Die Welt published on January 15, 2015 he declared: (English version of his interview)

“If we want the nuclear bomb we have the capability to produce it. Everyone knows that.”

Mousavian was Iran’s ambassador to Germany in the 1990s when this embassy was considered as the supporting center for planning and execution of high profile terrorist attacks against Iranian opposition leaders. He played a key role in the release of Western hostages held by Hezbollah in Lebanon in exchange for economic and diplomatic incentives for the Iranian regime. Mousavian was a prominent member of Iranian negotiation team in nuclear talks with three European countries between 2003 and 2005 and Hassan Rouhani led the Iranian delegation. In a TV interview in Tehran in 2006, Mousavian boasted that Iran deceived the European troika and used negotiations to buy time for Iran’s nuclear program. (watch this video, minute 14.04)

Mousavian’s activities are generously finances by various foundations that seek friendship with the Iranian regime, on top of them, Ploughshare Fund.

  1. This is why the P5+1 and Iran need a deal: Iran currently has a several month breakout time should they really seek it. On the other hand they have Israel breathing down America’s neck to send in the cavalry. It’s an untenable situation for all parties but the hardliners.

The research has been done. Short of assassinating hundreds of nuclear scientists across Iran and wiping every hard drive in the country, there’s no going back. If Iran wanted the bomb, they could have it, unless the west intervened. Which it will, which is why the situation is so unstable. It would just take one particularly fanatical Ayatollah or Republican Guard to order enrichment to 90% and we could have a new standard for horrible wars in the ME.
